On February 21, 2026, AQV Executive Director Steven Muleme participated in a virtual discussion on Black History, Black Futures, and Collective Care organized by Hands Off NYC and partners.

The conversation explored community care, immigrant experiences, racial justice, and collective action. Steven shared reflections from his experiences as a Ugandan LGBTQ+ activist, writer, and cultural organizer living in New York.
