AQV Executive Director Participates in Storytelling, Healing, and Advocacy Retreat in the Adirondack Mountains
African Queer Voices (AQV) Executive Director Steven Muleme recently participated in a convening at the Adirondack Mountains, bringing together survivors, organizers, artists, and advocates working at the intersections of storytelling, healing, bodily autonomy, and human rights.

The retreat provided a valuable space for reflection, learning, and relationship-building among organizations committed to advancing justice and dignity for marginalized communities.
Throughout the convening, participants explored how storytelling can be used as a tool for healing, advocacy, and social change while strengthening networks of solidarity across movements.
AQV was honored to contribute to these conversations and looks forward to continuing collaborations that center creativity, community care, and human rights.
